Gluttony

There has been a recurring thought in my mind over the past many many months.  Every time I sit on the table to eat food with my  family  I thank God for giving me this opportunity to sit down and enjoy one of the basic needs of living beings.  Apart from the ability to sit down and eat with family I also do enjoy the absolute variety of tastes that are reaching my taste buds.  It is indeed a fact that our table is almost always stuffed with different  flavours by virtue of quite intricately cooked foods with lots of love.

2012

2012 started ticking last night.  A year has come to an end and another starts spreading its sunshine for the next few months to come.  Mayans thought 2012 would be it.  What I find interesting is that some of us in this world are hell bent on making this come true.  This is the sad state of affairs that we are entering 2012 in.  I think if this world would just realize how precious this life on earth is it would be very helpful for all of us as a whole.  But then there would be no fun if everyone agrees with everyone else.  No movement forward.  Contrast and contradiction is indeed the essence of life. Charity gets Bill Gates!

Forbes has announced its list of the richest men in the world and Bill Gates has been dethroned. To take his place is America's most beloved investor, Warren Buffet at a net worth of $62 billion. Second in line is Mexican telphone industry tycoon Carlos Slim Helu at $60 billion dollars. His net worth has doubled over the past two years. Bill Gates now stands third at $52 billion dollars. He ruled the first place for 13 years in a row. In the top ten richest people in the world are 4 of Indian descent. Lakshmi Mital is the 4th richest man in the world with his steel industry making him $45 billion dollars, Mukesh Ambani is worth $43 billion and Anil Ambani is 6th in the line at $42 billion.
