PML-N and Musharraf

Just a conspiracy theorist's thought: Can it be that Musharraf and Nawaz are working together to out do Zardari and the rest with the help of PML-Q. After all PML-Q is changing its stance on major issues drastically and an alliance between Zardari and MQM has been reached. Can it be that Zardari fears the chief justice because he thinks that he is a part of the alliance against him. This theory is far fetched but not completely absurd.

V Wireless Fraud

Since yesterday I have had numerous disconnection problems on V Wireless internet connection. The connection is as slow as a dial up and now there is this dis-connectivity problem. The signal strength is good and there are no fluctuations to blame for drop in the connection. I can safely presume that it is the result of poor handling at the ISP end. PTCL is doing nothing but getting negative publicity by giving poor service to its customers. I am thinking of reverting to the dial up connection which even if slow is atleast more affordable than this rip off.

V wireless Bachat

I have shifted to the basic plan on my V Wireless. Just to meet another case of utter disinformation on the part of PTCL. The daily line rent on this package is supposed to be Rs. 4, yet I end up paying Rs. 7 every day for no apparent reason. The company is also being a thief in that they are charging every customer a Rs. 2 per every internet call. So in essence we pay not the company publicized Rs. 6 per hour for our internet but Rs. 8 per hour. I have lost all faith in fair business in this country. Every individual and every company is out to get consumers and rip them of their money. It is indeed exasperating. Technorati Tags: Telephone , Internet

Sher Afghan & Arbab Rahim

There is a lot of hue and cry on the way these two members of Musharraf league have been treated in the past few days. All kind of apologetic behaviour is in vogue and the ever so double sided thugs of MQM want their point of view to be heard on every channel. Suddenly the civil society has been turned into the under dog and the MQM mafia wants to take the upper hand. I watch all this an amazement. The memories of the public are short lived and traumas are forgotten earlier then they should be. I personally do not like the Niazi or Rahim bashing or for that matter ill treatment of any Pakistani. But to my mind there is no reason for the civil society to be apologetic to anyone, least the MQM and Musharraf league. We have no reason to yield a single step in our noble struggle against these mafia running thugs. I think every citizen of this country has equal rights to protection of his/her life and property and honor. Why is it then that the same Arbab Rahim gets away with publica...

D&N Cricket with Bangladesh 2008

It should not be so but these days it is a sad thing to watch cricket matches being played under flood lights. Our country is in short supply of electricity yet our cricket board is adamant on promoting wastage of this valuable resource. I think PCB should take note of the sensitivities of the people on this issue and refrain from organizing matches under flood lit skies. It might be a spectacular experience under ordinary circumstances but during these times of trouble we must refrain from wasting resources of this country. Even if PCB is using its own generators for powering the poles the diesel used in these generators is costing our Govt. a lot of money. I think the PCB needs to look into this folly.

PTCL V Wireless = Rip Off

In this world of technology and gadgets one should have little problem connecting to the internet on the globe. But things do not always turn out the way one wants them to be. I have been travelling a little of late and during this Gulliver's travels I have had little and patchy access to the cyberspace. This has been so for various reasons. But most of the times it has been due to the collective inefficient behavior of our nation. No one wants to do his/her share of work but likes to be paid for doing nothing. Since the day I have come back to Jhang I have been trying to get an internet connection going. Since my needs for one are short term I, quite unwillingly, opted for PTCL's V Wireless telephone. I say unwillingly because i have had a terrible experience with their service the last time i tried to use it. Last year I persuaded my father to spend Rs. 2000 on a wireless telephone connection to meet our internet connection needs. The phone was bought in the hope tha...
