Cricket

I think watching cricket is related to staying at home. I remember I never use to watch any cricket matches while I was at my university. I had lost all the interest in this painfully slow game. Since I have returned back home I have been watching cricket again and with some interest.
The match that ended today was just marvellous. I was glued to the screen since yesterday. All the members of the team did amazing job and played some professional cricket. Inzamam was amazing with his captaincy. He was quick at making changes in his attack. He used his bowlers very wisely. He got the reward. Salman Butt played an excellent knock. Shoaib Akhter finally got some wickets. He was fast as ever. Muhammad Yousaf still hasn't found his class. He needs some time to gather himself but I think it is too much time for a professional player. Hasan Raza was an utter failure. Not only in batting but in his sloppy fielding in the crunch hours of the games. He should be sent back to where he came from, Bagh-e- Jinnah. Shabbir was very persistent with his very good line and length. He needs a permanent spot in the squad. Shoaib Malik needs time in his new spot. He will InshaAllah deliver. Younis Khan was good as ever. He was constantly helping his captain in field placements and the rest. Sulman Butt owes his 100 to Younis Khan. He is the one who advised him from over to over when he was starting. This is the best thing about Younis Khan he is always thinking and helping his youngsters. He is our future captain if he keeps up the good work.

Learning Arduino 1

This holiday season I decided to gift myself some basic electrical components in the form of a Arduino UNO set from Elegoo. I have always had a desire to tinker with electronics and in gifting myself this basic set I am now starting on a journey to quench my inner electrical workman's thirst. I hope to develop this hobby as I move forward and will, from time to time, post about it here on the blog. As the journey moves forward I am sure to run into trouble and issues. But as they say you can not master anything without first being a fool at it, so I have decided to remain a fool at it until I am a little good at it. To start with, I do possess some elementary knowledge in electronics and electronic circuits. I intend to further my knowledge using the world wide web and following some very useful video channels on youtube. I will first start with some very basic projects to familiarize myself with Arduino and basic electronic circuits and techniques such as soldering. Then graduall...

Gluttony

There has been a recurring thought in my mind over the past many many months.  Every time I sit on the table to eat food with my  family  I thank God for giving me this opportunity to sit down and enjoy one of the basic needs of living beings.  Apart from the ability to sit down and eat with family I also do enjoy the absolute variety of tastes that are reaching my taste buds.  It is indeed a fact that our table is almost always stuffed with different  flavours by virtue of quite intricately cooked foods with lots of love.

XBOX ONE controller

I have been using the new xbox for many days now. The most important part of the console is obviously it's controller as this is the part we interact with most. In comparison to the xbox 360 controller the build quality of this controller seems slightly compromised. There is little counter weight in the wings of this controller and therefore it does not feel quite as sturdy in hand as the old one. However the shape has been elongated a bit and this actually probably compensates for the weight issue. All the buttons are within reach of my fingers which is good. One thing I have liked about the xbox controller is the snug fit in my hands. This is unlike sony's six axis controller. Those are obviously made for smaller hands. The sony controllers are much sturdier as I have learnt over the years I have had the play station. They took a lot of beating but came out winning. I don't think I expect same quality from the xbox controllers.  Also I have been getting a taste of Microso...
