Engineer

I know I have to keep on moving myself. I have to oblige to my impulses to open up something and then explore. I have to give in to the urges of using a screw driver and nuts and bolts. All this is happening more so at home than it was in the hostel. Back in the university time my services were sought for very limited number of mechanical and technical anomalies. Mostly I would fix a computer or two a broken CD Rom or a malfunctioning computer accessory. And all those air conditioning units from LG owe me a thanks for keeping them running in the humid environs of the city. But in University that was mostly it nothing more nothing exciting so to say. Over here I have all kinds of appliances that have run so old that they need my care and nurture on a regular basis. Only the other day I asked my mom to start paying me a salary for all the appliances that I fixed in the house. After all I am saving her money.
   They say there are three kind of people in this world. One those who get their work done, other who can't get it done so do it themselves and then those who can't do anything. I happily belong to the second category. I would do most of the things, that need to be done, myself. This speaks for the impatient and restless soul that I am. I see eyes popping out in amazement at reading this haha!

iPad 2

The new iPad is worth it's money. Sleek slender design is a plus and so is the light weight. I am not really impressed by the camera as the pictures with both front and back cameras are pixelated and very amateurish looking. It's handy in the sense that I can carry it around while making rounds and access patient information on the go. This makes life easier and for someone like myself this means much less paper waste. I think one added advantage is that I will waste less time on writing down all the information on a piece of paper every morning and will be able to pull it up anytime I want to do so or need to do so. This gives me more time to think and reflect on the patient and spend more time with the patient rather than time in front of a bulky computer. There are new apps I am discovering every day. Elections '08

Parliamentary Elections are just 12 hours away in Pakistan. Unlike all previous elections i have reached the voting age for these elections. Now i can use my right to vote to select a candidate that i think represents future and progress. I can be part of the democratic process. I can be a miniature vector of change or towards change. But i will not use my right to vote. that means i will not participate in the process of electing representatives who will rule my country and my fate for the next five years, even more if they get their way like this present dictator, Musharraf.
