Ever since I have descended on this country I have had to come to terms with a new breed of parathas. The breed that I was not accustomed to consuming back in my own country. Back home it used to be a delicious serving made by the loving hands of my mother and baked on just the right heat and with just the right amount of original butter. layers were both distinct and palpable on the palate. A very mouth watering retreat that I will now miss for the rest of my life. Anyway's I am supposed to be talking about the paratha that is Dawn paratha. I have recently tried it and i do not like it. the problem with this Pakistani company is that it is greedy and wants more out of less. Its not so bad when it comes to taste. I would say its just OK. The problem lies in the quantity and the size of the serving. Dawn manages to package lighter weight smaller parathay in the same standard packaging that other competitors use for bulkier larger and more parathay. Since the battle of taste is also a precarious one for dawn I have decided to opt for the alternative brand that offers more for less with the same or better taste. why should i be buying three Dawn parathay for 3 bucks when I can buy 4 parathay in the same price.
Pakistani companies will have to change the way they do business abroad. They can skin the poor Pakistani nation in the country but they can not manage to do that anywhere else since we have too many choices. It hurts me to be buying anything other than a Pakistani brand but when I certainly can not do these companies any favor if they try and be dumb about the way they do business.
So you people at Dawn remember that the Pakistani business model only works on poor Pakistanis in their own country not anywhere else in the world.
